Boots Natural Collection [Make Up Review]

The 3 'Natural Collection' items I'll be reviewing

Hey, so this is a bit of a different post from me today but I thought I'd give it a shot?

About 2-3 weeks ago I went out shopping with my friend Danni and I thought I'd buy my first piece's of make up! As it was going to be my first try with make up I decided to go for something simple and nothing too daring, and the Boots Natural Collection range seemed like the perfect choice to make, and with a 3 for 2 deal who could say no?!

Duo Eyeshadow:
I started by picking up an eyeshadow duo pack, there were a wide variety colours to choose from but I decided to go with the simple colours. In hope that this eyeshadow would blend out on my eyelid, unfortunately I found the brown a bit too dark for me. However this may just be my view. I'm probably going to be using the white more often as it makes you look more awake!
So overall this product for me has its ups and downs.

Pressed Powder - Foundation:
I also picked up this powder foundation which I planned to rarely use just on my nose as I have quite an oily nose so I thought this would help hide it? I bought the palest tone as I am extremely pale! And at no fault of the product it can sometimes make me look a bit orange! So if you are extremely pale it may be safe looking at other brands. Overall though this gives a good coverage and is great to use quickly as a cover up in the morning!

Nail Polish - 'Nail Colour':

This was my personal favourite buy of the day! I'd only ever painted my nails once before I bought this and I really didn't find it easy at all! However this is a really nice nail varnish to apply. With such a natural colour it even means I can wear it to school, which is a bonus! With applying this I have learnt how I need to be more patient with nail varnish as I keep smudging it after my first layer! I usually do 2 layers with this but 3 layers gives a much bolder nice finish, it all depends on the amount of time and patience you have!

Overall these three products were a good buy for my basic beginner make up set. The only faults are either due to my abnormally pale skin or the colours that suit you and what overall look you are going for. I'm very happy with my purchase and I hope this gives you an idea on this collection of makeup!

Feel free to leave a comment telling me what you think of these products if you've ever used them. Or even recommend some make up to me to try out :)

Back with lots to say! [I'm sorry]

I'm so sorry it's been 3 months! I am terrible and such a procrastinator. However I do have multiple reasons as to why I haven't posted in a while which I will explain to you all now.

These past few months have been up and down with emotions with school work and even with my day to day routine. However, this has given me the push I needed to sit down and think 'what am I even doing with my life?!' The answer is still not in tact but I'm sure of one thing, I'm not happy with what I've become and how I go through my day to day life.

I want to start making the most of life, not sat at home eating junk food and daydreaming of what I wish I was doing, I'm gonna start doing and not dreaming! Even if it's just going out onto a field with some friends and playing guitar and singing, it would be a better day than sat at home doing nothing. At the end of the day I want to be a musician I want to write, record and produce my own album one day which I can tour with. But along with needing to be capable of playing some  sort of instrument the music industry I believe is also based a lot on 'who you know, not what you know' and the way I'm going I'm never going to meet new people or get to a social point where I'm comfortable talking to new people.

Daydreaming by Paramore off of their new album 'Paramore'

Anyway so yeah hopefully with this new mindset I'll have more to blog about? Pretty sweet eh?

Plans for the blog

Photo I made using 'So Wrong It's Right' album silhouette on a painted background.

As I haven't even written about going to see All Time Low in February yet I feel like there is a lot to catch you up on. So this next week I'm gonna have at least another 3 blog posts up hopefully, so keep your eyes peeled on my twitter and tumblr to hear when they're up!

Find me on

Thank you for reading, until next time...
