Boots Natural Collection [Make Up Review]

The 3 'Natural Collection' items I'll be reviewing

Hey, so this is a bit of a different post from me today but I thought I'd give it a shot?

About 2-3 weeks ago I went out shopping with my friend Danni and I thought I'd buy my first piece's of make up! As it was going to be my first try with make up I decided to go for something simple and nothing too daring, and the Boots Natural Collection range seemed like the perfect choice to make, and with a 3 for 2 deal who could say no?!

Duo Eyeshadow:
I started by picking up an eyeshadow duo pack, there were a wide variety colours to choose from but I decided to go with the simple colours. In hope that this eyeshadow would blend out on my eyelid, unfortunately I found the brown a bit too dark for me. However this may just be my view. I'm probably going to be using the white more often as it makes you look more awake!
So overall this product for me has its ups and downs.

Pressed Powder - Foundation:
I also picked up this powder foundation which I planned to rarely use just on my nose as I have quite an oily nose so I thought this would help hide it? I bought the palest tone as I am extremely pale! And at no fault of the product it can sometimes make me look a bit orange! So if you are extremely pale it may be safe looking at other brands. Overall though this gives a good coverage and is great to use quickly as a cover up in the morning!

Nail Polish - 'Nail Colour':

This was my personal favourite buy of the day! I'd only ever painted my nails once before I bought this and I really didn't find it easy at all! However this is a really nice nail varnish to apply. With such a natural colour it even means I can wear it to school, which is a bonus! With applying this I have learnt how I need to be more patient with nail varnish as I keep smudging it after my first layer! I usually do 2 layers with this but 3 layers gives a much bolder nice finish, it all depends on the amount of time and patience you have!

Overall these three products were a good buy for my basic beginner make up set. The only faults are either due to my abnormally pale skin or the colours that suit you and what overall look you are going for. I'm very happy with my purchase and I hope this gives you an idea on this collection of makeup!

Feel free to leave a comment telling me what you think of these products if you've ever used them. Or even recommend some make up to me to try out :)

  1. If you're finding that the powder is too orange and you're only planning on only using it to cover up oils on your face, I highly recommend the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 001 Translucent. It won't go orange and is realllyy good for keeping oily skin matte and it's something along the lines of £3 so won't break the bank either. x

    1. Ooh, that sounds really good! Thank you, I'll have to give that a try and the fact it's quite cheap is a huge huge help :D x
